General Conference

This past weekend was the 178th Annual General Conference for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Every six months the leaders of the church get together and share messages with the 13 million + saints where we can receive via Internet, magazine, television or at the conference center in Salt Lake City, Utah. It is so wonderful to hear from the apostles of the Lord and the Prophet of the World. I love that Heavenly Father and the Savior, Jesus Christ, are living and still give revelation to us today. I love that no matter where I am in the world I can attend the same church and not have to worry about what is being taught. I am so grateful for the fullness of the gospel and the joy it brings to my life daily. There were many talks that I enjoyed but my favorite talk was from Jeffery R. Holland. The talk was about how "God does inspire men and call them to his holy work in this age and generation, as well as in generations of old." When the talk becomes available to read this week I will put it on here because I can not do it justice with a summary. If you missed conference I urge you to go to BYU TV and go to either Saturday 10am or 2pm OR Sunday 10am or 2pm and watch. The spirit was so strong this conference and it was so wonderful. Elizabeth even laid on the floor and watched some haha.

On our little rock one of the major grocery stores is Foodland and every 150 you spend they give you a little reward coupon. Well this month the reward was ice cream!!! AND OH YES WE SAVED SIX COUPONS AND BOUGHT SIX ICE CREAMS. Obviously I have an addiction and ate the other three already with a tiny bit of help from Jesse but they sure are good. If you aren't careful you can eat one in a day. But I would never do that hahaha.

Eternal Friends

Happy Anniversary Chris & Taylor. It was at your reception three years ago that I fell in love with my sweet heart. We had known each other for 3 weeks exactly. He was one of the groomsmen and he smiled and winked at me from across the room. In that moment I said to myself "I LOVE HIM" and I knew that I was going to spend the rest of eternity with him. With his big dimples his smile was amazing and my daddy always smiles and winks at me so I couldn't resist. It was actually Taylor and Chris who had dragged Jesse to the party that we met at in the first place. If Chris hadn't been engaged we would have never met. Who would have guessed that when the three of them walked into the bedroom of that LAME party that we would be such great friends for life. Jesse and Chris have known each other since before Jesse was in kindergarten . Now we live so close together and our children are going to be friends as well. There are not many people who can have the privilege of such amazing relationships with people and KNOW that it is real. I love you guys and I am grateful everyday of my life that you found each other and became a part of my life. Happy Anniversary

Swings

So for a month now I have been putting Elizabeth in the swing at the play ground. She seems to like it instead of the dumb swing that is in our house. People look at me weird since she is so little in this massive thingamobobit but she loves it and that is all that matters. I can see the future now, I am always going to be trying all types of stuff when she is too young for instance, cereal. hahaha Yeah that's another story... Even though she can barely stay up she sure likes to go high. She's a freak simply because her Mama is a freak too.

I think Elizabeth has a perfect mix of Jesse and me but when she is sad I think she looks exactly like her father. In this photo Jesse is younger and more chubby but they sure frown the same.They are so cute

Cold in Paradise

We went to the beach and it was one of those days where the sun comes and goes. Most of the time that we were there I remember freezing my toes off. People always say it never gets cold here but that is an incorrect statement. If you look really close Jesse is catching the wave in the background. Just hanging out enjoying the sun before it disappears

Happy Prince Kuhio Day

Yesterday in the great state of Hawaii we all celebrated Prince Kuhio Day which happens to be an official holiday. It is celebrated annually on to mark the birth of Prince Jonah Kuhio Kalanianaole. It is one of only two holidays in the United States dedicated to royalty. Prince Kuhio was a rebel who wanted to kick all the Europeans out of this state, got arrested, went to jail then became a Republican AND supported us being here. At least I think...
So to celebrate this holiday/no school day we went to the beach naturally. Elizabeth hung out in the seat of her stroller which detaches to shade herself. Then she found some sand eat.
It was a fun day for us all. 4 to 5 hrs later we went home and crashed!!!

WE ARE STAYING

We got the job!!! The Price family is officially staying in Hawaii for at least one more year maybe two. I love love love that we don't have to leave yet because our SOULS are not ready to leave this island!

Singing

Yesterday in Sacrament Elizabeth started singing out of the blue when we were singing. Later at our friend Jackie's house she was singing again when Anna & Zane were singing and playing the guitar. I guess she has music in her soul. It must have been all the singing I did when she was in the womb and this last week she and I have been having music time together where we dance and sing. I am trying to incorporate music in her life since both Jesse and I grew up with it in our lives.
