Caden turns 4

Our nephew Caden had a birthday party while we were there.

He got lots of cool toys but Tanner's favorite was this plane that went around tracks. 

There was a homemade piñata. And sometimes it hit the kids rather than the kids hitting it.

Elizabeth sucked on this candy wrapper for about an hour trying to get out the chocolate.

I am so happy that Movember is over because that means no more mustaches. 

Thanksgiving Day

This year for Thanksgiving we spent with my sisters. It was fun to be around family. This is the night before preparing for thursday. 

Elizabeth became really busy on this trip. The magnets were her favorite thing to pull off the frig. Uncle Brian is helping her get the high ones.

Later she was mad because we wouldn't let her pull out the dishes from the dish washer.

She learned how to walk very well now. No more crawling for this little lady.

On friday after the early morning shopping, we went to grandma's to say hi.

I'm Hooked

Oh Stephanie thank you for bringing Edward into my life.

I have to admit when I first heard about this book I thought it was silly. (Even though I am a HUGE Buffy the vampire slayer fan.)

However, I did watch the movie last night at midnight and I LOVE IT. ALL of it. Every single bit of it!!! Now I must go and get me a copy of this book so I can read it all.

Busy Weekend

This weekend I got a lot accomplished as far as school work. Friday I started and finished my religion paper while Jesse and Elizabeth did this...

Saturday I finished my spanish powerpoint while Jesse and Elizabeth went to help out in the farm with our ward.

She was so tired and apparently held on to Jesse the whole time while he picked weeds.

After a long nap we all went to Jelani's 1 year old birthday party.

After this party I went home for dinner then Taylor and I went to two baby showers. It was a busy and fun saturday.

Sometimes I wonder, will she ever get top teeth? Last night I found that she is getting 2 more bottom teeth. So she will have  4 on the bottom and none on the top. 

Has this ever happened to anyone else?

Hawaiian Airlines never fails. .

I have been super obsessed with getting off this island for either thanksgiving or christmas lately. So in my craziness I have been checking hawaiian airlines like a million times a day for cheap tickets. Well, today I checked and I found tickets for $82 each way to California. So you know what that means? Two roundtrip tickets from Honolulu to L.A. for the small fortune of $348.80. This is unheard of and I am so glad we got them. (I think a lot had to do with my nieces praying for us to come!!!)

This was on the onion and we thought it was sooooo hilarious. 

WASHINGTON—African-American man Barack Obama, 47, was given the least-desirable job in the entire country Tuesday when he was elected president of the United States of America. In his new high-stress, low-reward position, Obama will be charged with such tasks as completely overhauling the nation's broken-down economy, repairing the crumbling infrastructure, and generally having to please more than 300 million Americans and cater to their every whim on a daily basis. As part of his duties, the black man will have to spend four to eight years cleaning up the messes other people left behind. The job comes with such intense scrutiny and so certain a guarantee of failure that only one other person even bothered applying for it. Said scholar and activist Mark L. Denton, "It just goes to show you that, in this country, a black man still can't catch a break."
