Sprinter

So we heard so much about the Sprinter we had to ride it. We rode from Vista to Oceanside. It was awesome. If I worked here and had to commute, this Sprinter is the way to go.

We stopped at Ruby's to have some lunch. K funny story, if any of you have been to Ruby's you would know that it is a 60's style diner. Well in this diner the bus boy was an old black man. Was that a coincidence or did they hire him for that role? All Jesse could think of was the line from Back to the Future "Mayor, I like the sound of that" hahaha

On our way back to Vista we decided we slightly hated the Sprinter . No signs told us that the dumb train DID not stop at our destination. It just kept moving on. Apparently the train only stops at our spot heading west not east. So we had to get off and wait a 1/2 hour for the train to go the other way. Lame

And waiting...

Just waiting... 

Overall it was a good trip and I would recommend it at least once. Its too bad it only goes from Escondido to Oceanside, other areas would benefit from it as well.

Mother's Day

For Mother's Day this year we went with Michelle and Grandma Jean to look at old homes in Escondido. People open up their old historic homes once a year to let others walk through it. 

Of course photography is not allowed, so sorry there isn't any photos of the homes. They were beautiful though. When we arrived to each home it was very deceiving because on the outside it looked very ghetto but inside it was magnificent.

At the end of the tour the last house had homemade cookies and lemonade!!! Yummmm

My Grandmother turned 82 this May. For her birthday we went to a Chinese Buffet. It was fun!!

To blog or not to blog? That is the question. We are headed off to San Diego, San Fransisco, Bakersfield, all the cool spots in California until May 26th. I may blog in between we shall see how it goes... Until we meet again

Ha ha ha ha this is a snap shot from my phone. Aren't they BEEEAUTIFUL!!! The time has finally come for my braces to come off. It feels so nice not having food stuck in my teeth all the time. Now all I need is to get them cleaned and whitened and they will be good to go...

Claire Bear

My friend Claire came to visit from California for 10 days. It was fun having her here. It feels like she makes it out to Hawaii every year so far since she left. She went to the beach, braided my hair and went shopping with me. We went to Ted's Bakery many times but were never early enough to get the fried chicken for breakfast. Sorry Jesse :(
Last Saturday we went to Tiki's and had a wonderful lunch. I had a burger with fries ( and ate the tomatoes on it! ) Jesse had fish tacos, Claire had tuna salad and Elizabeth had milk. It was good food I would recommend it.

Then we went to the Kokua Festival to see my favorite, JACK JOHNSON. Oh I love Jack. Mason Jennings, Dave Matthews, Tim Reynolds, Matt Costa and Jack were some of the musicians that were there. We had grass seats but I thought it was perfect.

This was the first concert of any type that I had been to.

Elizabeth had fun while we were there. From 4:30 - 9:30 she was awesome. She played and then at 8 went to bed on the middle of the blanket. She was a little sad that she slept threw Jack but she understands she was really tired.

Games

I love game nights. But mostly I love hanging out with my friends. Last weekend the Nortons, the Nortons, the Howards, the Pierces, the Rondos and the Prices all got together to hang out and play games. The night started out with J and Elizabeth playing. For some reason we always think it is funny every time Elizabeth rides J like a horse
We talked and laughed for a while then, we finally played musical catch phrase. It is such an awesome game where you can humm the song if you want. The lovely Erik and Kindsay modeling for the camera.

And of course it is not a real party unless the boys watch surfing on the computer!!!
