Love

Love is the very essence of life. It is the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Yet it is more than the end of the rainbow. Love is at the beginning also, and from it springs the beauty that arches across the sky on a stormy day. Love is the security for which children weep, the yearning of youth, the adhesive that binds marriage, and the lubricant that prevents devastating friction in the home; it is the peace of old age, the sunlight of hope shining through death. How rich are those who enjoy it in their associations with family, friends, church and neighbors... love, like faith, is a gift of God.

We don't watch hockey...

but certain occasions call for celebrating
and the Canada vs USA Olympic match was worth enjoying.

Poor USA hadn't beat Canada in Olympic play in 50 years until Sunday!
So we Celebrated!

Not all of us celebrated though. Sorry friends!
Pretzels baked with Rolos on top are wonderful!
Thanks Lindsay!
The Raynors didn't care who won.
Matty was actually cheering for the Great White North.
Everybody got ice cream though.
And Tyken loved it most!

Bed time talks

At night Jesse and I have been talking to Elizabeth in her rocking chair before bed. It's become part of the routine. We ask her about her day, then let her go on until she stops. This is some of what she said tonight:

Daddy doing the sacrament
Abinadi eat Jesus (is this what nursery teaches)
Jesus Priced
Mommy take sacrament
I eat water & bread
I eat chicken (she did not)
It's cold, It's warm
I'm doing Tyken's Birthday (this was months ago)
I'm going to a party, cake & ice cream
Ice cream cold
Yesterday Calvin's birthday
Bria there.
Mommy shower for baby (I went to a baby shower yesterday)
I am not going in my bed. I'm not, I'm not, I'm not...
this last line is what she always ends with HA

I love this little girl. She makes us laugh all the time.

Heaven is Home

Our birth is but a sleep and a forgetting:
The Soul that rises with us, our life's Star,
Hath had elsewhere its setting,
And cometh from afar...
Trailing clouds of glory do we come
From God, who is our home.

Grandpa came to town

Grandpa came a little bit ago
as a late b-day surprise!
He and E connected and he left
being her favorite person.
She woke up each morning to cuddle him
They played lots together
& she educated him on play dough

We love you grandpa. Thanks for coming and the presents!!!

January

So I haven't really blogged anything about our life since christmas.

Much has happened and I feel that it's too late to blog about them now.
I feel like I missed the window for that time.
I have been a lame picture taker so I don't have many photos anyway but
My journal knows about everything,
so the precious moments will forever be remembered.
In January we seemed to have experienced a whole spectrum of emotions.
Many late nights...
Many visitors...
I had a birthday at the end of the month
and gained tremendous respect & love for a close friend throughout the month.
Bye January
I will always remember you

Looking for this

I want this nice little Phil & Teds double stroller. Doesn't have to be this color or anything. If you happen to see one that is a decent price on craigslist, ebay or anywhere. Just ring me up and I will come and get it. Gracias

(I promise to take time out of my school life tonight and update this blog on the happenings of our life)
