Swings

So for a month now I have been putting Elizabeth in the swing at the play ground. She seems to like it instead of the dumb swing that is in our house. People look at me weird since she is so little in this massive thingamobobit but she loves it and that is all that matters. I can see the future now, I am always going to be trying all types of stuff when she is too young for instance, cereal. hahaha Yeah that's another story... Even though she can barely stay up she sure likes to go high. She's a freak simply because her Mama is a freak too.

I think Elizabeth has a perfect mix of Jesse and me but when she is sad I think she looks exactly like her father. In this photo Jesse is younger and more chubby but they sure frown the same. They are so cute

Cold in Paradise

We went to the beach and it was one of those days where the sun comes and goes. Most of the time that we were there I remember freezing my toes off. People always say it never gets cold here but that is an incorrect statement. If you look really close Jesse is catching the wave in the background. Just hanging out enjoying the sun before it disappears
now it is gone but she thinks the sand is great between her toes
freezing but here we are

Happy Prince Kuhio Day

Yesterday in the great state of Hawaii we all celebrated Prince Kuhio Day which happens to be an official holiday. It is celebrated annually on to mark the birth of Prince Jonah Kuhio Kalanianaole. It is one of only two holidays in the United States dedicated to royalty. Prince Kuhio was a rebel who wanted to kick all the Europeans out of this state, got arrested, went to jail then became a Republican AND supported us being here. At least I think...
So to celebrate this holiday/no school day we went to the beach naturally. Elizabeth hung out in the seat of her stroller which detaches to shade herself. Then she found some sand eat.
It was a fun day for us all. 4 to 5 hrs later we went home and crashed!!!

Singing

Yesterday in Sacrament Elizabeth started singing out of the blue when we were singing. Later at our friend Jackie's house she was singing again when Anna & Zane were singing and playing the guitar. I guess she has music in her soul. It must have been all the singing I did when she was in the womb and this last week she and I have been having music time together where we dance and sing. I am trying to incorporate music in her life since both Jesse and I grew up with it in our lives.

Days like These

I love days where I can just hang out with my family and do nothing. This morning we all slept in til 8. I know that is not late for most people but it is in my house. Later I went to my education advisor at school and planned out my future. If we end up staying in Hawaii I will be able to graduate in 2 years. Oh that would be so awesome. Also it was looking like the school forgot to submit my information for missing last winter so I would have to reapply and everything but at the last minute the lady asked " Are you Jesse's wife " as soon as I said yes it was like all the road blocks opened up and they approved me going back to school. I am so grateful my husband is a super star. Elizabeth and I went to the mailbox today and we found this awaiting us. I thought it was adorable. Grandma & Grandpa Springs sent her a Happy 1st Easter card with one dollar in it. She loved it!!! Now we will put it in the piggy bank until bank day.
Also another fun thing I did was make my very first pizza. My wonderful neighbor let me us her bread maker so I wouldn't have to wait for the dough to rise and take an hour. With the bread maker it only took 12 min to mix and 15 min to cook. Oh the wonders of technology. . . It is a cheese, green bell pepper and onion pizza. yummmm.

To top off our day we listened to Elizabeth giggle. She only seems to laugh a lot when we do this. Other things so far will make her smile but not giggle... I love my little monster and my amazing husband.

Big Girl

Elizabeth is growing up so fast. Sunday morning was such fun because she rolled from her back to her belly. Then later in the afternoon she started laughing for the first time out loud. It was so adorable. She seems to do new stuff right before she turns another month. Oh I love my sweet baby!

Her first true love...

They were destined from the start. Even when she was in my womb J was eye balling her and claiming her for his own. She loves him too. His last name is similar to hers so it wont be a hard transition when they do wed... Oh yeah some people wait their whole life to get kissed. I only waited two months.
He even held my face Ah..... life is great!!!

wake up

Elizabeth has been taking these four hour naps in the morning that is a bit ridiculous if you ask me. She sleeps through the night and wakes up to play in the morning then around ten she goes down for a 3-4 hr nap. Granted she doesn't take any other naps before bed at 9 but come on this is crazy. I want to wake her up and play...

The day we met...

March 11, 2005 was the day that my life was changed forever. I was at a lame party thrown by a guy that I had recently stopped kissing sitting upstairs when JP walked through the door. I instantly thought he was cute but then thought nothing else of him because there was NO WAY this guy would want me. I was used to dating football players and he was OBVIOUSLY not into black girls. I figured he wanted some tiny toothpick blonde. haha So anyway everyone was starting a movie ( shark's tale to be exact ) and Jesse grabbed a blanket and asked me to join him. The whole time he was trying to hold my hand which I thought was soooo weird because holding hands was way more than kissing. I held his hand anyway cuz he was cute. After the movie was over we went and exchanged numbers and when he was leaving he leaned in to kiss me and I turned my cheek. There was no way I was going to kiss this boy that I had just met. Plus I was certain he didn't remember my name DORETHA.. and of course I found out later that he didn't haha So four days go by and I texted him to see what he was up to. He asked if I wanted to hang out and I said "no I could hang out in 2 weeks" I wanted to get my hair done before I saw him again. So he called me the next night and we hung out. What can I say I give in easily. The first date we just went to his house and ate ice cream and watched a movie with Chris and Taylor. They were all living at Jesse's parents house and Chris and Taylor were engaged. They are actually the ones that made Jesse go to the party in the first place. (side note: a few weeks before Jesse met me he asked Taylor what she would do if he married a black girl and she said that would be cool but she didn't think it would happen) So after that first date we hung out every single night and I didn't kiss him until date #3 on a couch. OH YEAH!!! that kiss was AMAZING.... It was actually the reason he stayed so interested because no one had ever denied Jesse Price...
So on April 1st Taylor and Chris were sealed for all eternity and at their reception I realized I LOVED this boy. He was across the room and stopped smiled at me and winked and that did it all for me. I knew I was going to marry him. Like a week later we said our I love yous and decided we were going to get married
Only 5 months and 1 day from this day we were sealed together for time and all eternity. It has been wonderful everyday so far. Oh I love my husband more than anything in the universe. He is my everything. I hope to spend many more days together forever...

Sister Reunion

It's so nice to be able to hang out with my sisters. I love them more than any other sisters in the whole wide world!!! I can't wait til we live closer... Here are the beautiful girls: top left: Celia, me, Deborah
bottom left: Kiara, Millesha, Elizabeth, Audraneese
Cousin love. Elizabeth loves her cousins because they look like her. HahaElizabeth having some alone time with auntie. She loves Celia. As soon as I got there I knew I would never see my child again. Only to eat....
Poor uncle Brian was the only man all weekend surrounded by seven ladies.

It took all of us to change a diaper. Elizabeth didn't cry either. I guess auntie Deborah had the magic touch.
Millesha sure does love her cousin. It's funny that they are all so much older than her. 12 years to be exact...
Baby stealer Deborah. I woke up one morning only to see my sister staring me in the face. She was coming to steal my baby but she was eating hahaha. Oh I miss my sisters so much but I will see them next month and will stay much longer yeah.....
After going to see my sisters we went to see my father in-law Dave. This was his first time seeing her. They were cute together. I love the bottoms on her head.

Grandpa Dave with his two lovely granddughters. What can I say beauty runs in both sides of the family.
After a long trip of no naps and lots of being held Elizabeth was knocked out. She fell asleep on the way to the airport and didn't wake up until 3 hrs into the flight. Then ate and fell back to sleep. That is what I like. Haha
This was a WONDERFUL trip and I can't wait to return with Jesse and have some more fun..

San Diego

Elizabeth and I are in Cali for the week. We decided to come and play with my sisters this weekend. The first two days we hung out with my mother in-law, Michelle and my sister in-law, Jamie and my lovely niece Rachel. We went to the beach. haha it's funny I go to the beach in Hawaii and I come here and go to beach. This is them with the baby. It was so much fun just hanging out with the family. Rachel is three and she read me some pigeon books. She memorized the pages word for word I was really impressed. I love you Rachel and will see you later this week...
Awww look at the cousins....
Elizabeth and I are still in Cali but now we are up at my sisters in Riverside for the rest of the time. I will post more pics in a bit...

The Zoo

On Saturday the Nortons, Nortons, Nelsons, Pierces and Prices all went to the Honolulu zoo. It was such a fun day to just wake up and go. We all packed in two cars and headed down for the hour ride. It was such a nice sunny day with a breeze. This was Elizabeth's first time facing forward in her pack. She loved eating it. The flamingos are the first thing you see when you get inside. One good thing about this zoo is that the animals are so close.
Taylor helped baby E get the sun out of her face...
Aaron is not handicap but he did hurt his ankle pretty bad before so someone came up with the brilliant idea to get a wheelchair. Almost everyone got a ride on it. "You feel so refreshed when you get off of it" said Natalie. J seems really happy to take this picture!!!
An Antelope and a Crane
Zebra

??? some type of monkey
Turtle
Aaron and Erin looking at some thing AWESOME...

I hope that Llama doesn't spit....
It's a pony!!!
Alligators
Giraffes
There are many more animals there of course but we didn't take pictures of them all. After being at the zoo for a few hours, we all walked to the cheesecake factory for some grub. Everyone was so tired of waiting to eat.
The food was delicious for some of us and this was such a perfect end to an awesome day. It is so great to have such fun friends to hang out with day after day. I love you guys...
